General Questions
We are a group of five licensed psychologists who specialize in sleep. Each of us has deep expertise in evidence-based sleep treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), CPAP adherence support, and nightmare treatment. We came together because we believe everyone deserves access to specialized sleep care.
Sleep is what we do. While many therapists are generalists who treat a wide range of concerns, every clinician in our network has specific training and expertise in sleep psychology. This means you benefit from the kind of specialized knowledge that comes from working with sleep concerns day in and day out. We are happy to work with your current mental health team to support your sleep needs and current treatment plan.
We provide all services via telehealth (secure video sessions), so you can access care from the comfort of your home. We currently serve clients in Arizona, Montana, and all PSYPACT participating states (an interstate agreement that allows licensed psychologists to practice across state lines). Check to see if you are in a PSYPACT state.
All of our services are provided via telehealth. This makes it convenient for clients to receive specialized care regardless of where they are located within our service areas. At this time only Dr. Dhannia Torres-Rincon has an opportunity for in person appointments for those who reside near Scottsdale, AZ.
About the Consultation
The consultation is a brief phone or video call with one of our clinicians. It's an opportunity for you to share what's going on with your sleep, ask questions, and learn about how we can help. We'll also discuss which clinician on our team might be the best fit for you.
Yes. The 15-minute consultation is completely free with no obligation. It's our way of making sure we're a good fit for each other before you commit to treatment.
About Treatment
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is the gold standard treatment for chronic insomnia. It's recommended as the first-line treatment by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American College of Physicians. CBT-I works by addressing the thoughts, behaviors, and patterns that perpetuate insomnia, rather than just treating symptoms. Most people see significant improvement within 6 to 8 sessions.
Treatment length varies depending on the concern. CBT-I typically takes 6 to 8 sessions. CPAP adherence support and nightmare treatment may vary in length depending on individual needs. We'll discuss estimated timelines during your consultation.
No referral is necessary. You can schedule a consultation directly through our website.
As psychologists, we do not prescribe medication. Our treatments are behavioral and psychological in nature. Research consistently shows that CBT-I is more effective than sleep medication in the long term and doesn't carry the risk of dependence. If medication is something you want to explore, we can coordinate with your primary care provider or a psychiatrist. CBT-I can be used in conjunction with medications and can also help support tapering off of medications.
Insurance & Fees
Between all of our psychologists, we accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Carelon, United Healthcare, Optum, and Montana Health Co-Op. Coverage may vary by clinician, so during your consultation we'll confirm whether your specific plan is accepted and discuss any other payment options, including superbills for out-of-network reimbursement.
Fees vary by clinician. We'll provide transparent information about costs during your free consultation so there are no surprises.
A superbill is a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. If your clinician is out of network with your insurance, a superbill allows you to seek reimbursement directly from your insurer. We recommend checking with your insurance about your out-of-network benefits.
